What restaurants do to reduce food waste?
The 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗢𝗗 project, launched by 𝗙𝗜𝗣𝗘 and involving a large number of restaurants, aims to promote the value of food and encourage good consumer habits by involving businesses and citizens in the prevention and reduction of food waste.
Our restaurants are involved in several initiatives, such us:
with the ‘Love Food, no Waste’ logo, they express their support against food waste, encouraging customers to overcome the discomfort of asking to take away unused food;
with the ‘Rimpiattino’ food and drink box, restaurants allow customers to take home leftovers easily and safely;
support the ‘Sprecometro’ App, which allows monitoring of food waste at home and away from home;
use of the ‘Too Good To Go’ App, which allows customers to purchase unsold food products of the day at a discounted price;
our businesses support the donation of food to charities, food banks or associations.
Reducing food and drink waste is a big commitment for restaurants in their daily work. What are you doing to reduce food waste?
